Jeff Jordan, the son of former Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, has decided to leave the University of Illinois basketball team to focus on his studies. The move came as a bit of a surprise as Jordan was who was expected to play a solid role on the Fighting Illini's basketball team.
`I loved playing for the Fighting Illini and appreciate the support I was given by my teammates, coaches and the great fans here," Jordan said. ``But I have come to the point where I‚m ready to focus on life after basketball. I will concentrate on earning my degree from the University of Illinois and the opportunities that await upon graduating."
Jordan played an average of 8.4 minutes per game during his sophomore year. He was likely to see more playing time during his junior year, either as a starter or as a key contributor off the bench.
Just as Jeff Jordan's college basketball career comes to an end, his younger brother's career is about to begin. Marcus Jordan has committed to play for University of Central Florida basketball team.
