Jeremy Jeffress of the Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers Minor Leaguer Jeremy Jeffress received a 100-game suspension after violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for the third time.

Jeffress is suspended effective immediately. Jeffress is currently a pitcher for the Single-A Brevard County Manatees of the Florida State League.

Major League officials did not disclose the exact nature of Jeffress' drug violation. Jeffress tested positive for marijuana in 2007 season and received a 50 game suspension. Jeffress tested positive for marijuana again in a test administered by the Brewers, then disciplined.

If Jeffress is suspended for a drug violation one more time, he faces a lifetime ban.
