Jets & Steelers in "The Thrilla-N-Pittsila II" for the AFC Crown
The Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans will get another chance to be the "Muhammad Ali of the NFL" and knock out another AFC Heavyweight when the New York Jets come to town for "The Thrilla-N-Pittsila II".
Pittsburgh defeated the Baltimore Ravens 31-24 this past Saturday in the first heavyweight match-up installment of "smash-mouth style" teams.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said in his post-game press conference, this match-up Ravens vs Steelers, "that was Hagler vs. Hearns right there". Marvelous Marvin Hagler beat Thomas "Hitman" Hearns in 1985 in a thrilling and bone crushing 3 round middleweight championship fight.
Now the Steelers will go toe-to-toe again with another of the AFC Heavyweights in the New York Jets. Jets head coach Rex Ryan and his trash-talking crew will make "The Thrilla-N-Pittsila II" just as hyped as the game vs. the Ravens.
"The Thrilla-N-Pittsila II" is for the AFC crown and a trip to the Super Bowl.
The Jets will soar into town on a roll beating the Indianapolis Colts 17-16 in the AFC Wilcard round. Their win 28-21 over the 9-point favorite New England Patriots was more impressive.
New York beat Pittsburgh just one-month ago in week #15 of the regular-season 22-17. The Jets like Baltimore will be looking to erase bad memories of years past. New York is 1-7 all-time in Pittsburgh getting that lone win this past December 19th.
The Steelers have the same message Ali-type rhyme for the Jets.
It will be a Thrilla, and a Chilla, when the Jets land in town for "The Thrilla-N-Pittsila" Part 2.

Hey YankeeJim, Flacco just fell apart, I think he needs more detail and work on his down-field vision. Ray Rice also came unglued. They should win when leading at halftime 21-7. I hope this isn't one of those defeats that take the wind out of a team. They are real close to being a Super Bowl team.
