Joe Cada, at age 21, became the youngest person to win the World Series of Poker. It may not be a real sport, but it's no joke: Joe Cada claimed $8.55 million for beating second-place Darvin Moon in the WSOP 2009 main event, a Texas Hold 'Em championship.  Joe Cada is a professional poker player who traded college for cards. This is his first WSOP tournament.

Don't weep for Darvin Moon, though, as he walks away with $3 million.

An all-in by Cada with a pair of nines was called by Moon, who had a queen and jack. Two sevens, an eight, a two and king were drawn, improving neither player’s hand and giving Cada the title.

(I'm filing this under Sports since they show it on ESPN, but it's more of a game... albeit a very, very high-paying one)
