The Jonesboro High School dance team have been suspended by their school district for a provocative dance routine that has become a viral hit on YouTube.
The video, entitled Jonesboro Sluts, was taken at a high school basketball where the dance team performed a routine that had them dancing chair dances while wearing thigh-high stockings and short shorts. The video was posted on YouTube, where it received thousands of hits. The original has since been taken down, although the video continues to circulate on the web.
The team will not be allowed to practice or perform for the rest of the year. Members of the dance team were not disciplined.

okay i go to this school. and you need to make a correction....its the jonesboro highschool dance team not the cheerleaders. the cheerleading coach would not even permit that kind of conduct and i say parents need to be more involved in organizations like this. because it seems like they were blind sided....the girls try to clear up there name on television...but i've seen and heard otherwise.

Ok fr3sacakezz, since you are student there, what are the dancers saying? I'm no prude, and I danced in high school too, but that was really inappropriate.

This is part of the problem with the school system in that area. Stripper training. Raunchy dancing and I would bet academics is at the bottom of the list, then after graduation no job or low skilled jobs. Parental supervision is nill until accreditation is lost. Disgraceful.

Guess the Jonesboro dance team don't know the meaning of the word "class" but what made it pathetic is they were not even keeping time and were out of sync.
It was like watching a really bad stripper routine. What it was is a bunch of overweight, immature little girls bouncing around in thigh-highs and hot pants. While provocative it was hardly sexy.
If you are going to do something at least do it well.

Whether it was a cheerleading or a dance team, it shouldn't have happened. Faculty and their coach should have seen the routine that they were going to do before they were allowed to perform in front of the entire school body. For me being an African-American college student attending an historically black institution in my early twenties, I know that these ladies are very intelligent and didn't think that, that would be shown on the internet or that they would get in trouble but you have got to be careful technology has advanced and everything nowadays ends up on the internet but I still think that it was very inappropriate and very unlady like. I think the principal was right for suspending the girls and furthermore it was right for them not to perform for the rest of the year. If your going to dance make it with a little class. Their parents are probably dissappointed and embarrased because I'm sure that's not how they were raised!

I also fault the grown people for allowing it to go on for so long. My mom would have pulled me by my neck and drug me across the floor. They could have been escorted off. Adults have to understand, take back, and operate in true authority, especially in the schools.

Okay, I'm a student a Jonesboro, and I agree about how bad it was. Beyonce is a grown woman, she can do that type of dancing. However at a family function, students, shouldn't be allowed to dance like that. Not only is it bad that they were wearing slutty clothes, but they brought boys out which was totally uncalled for
