Losman Signs With UFL's Las Vegas Team

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback JP Losman has signed with a team in the fledgling United Football League (UFL). Losman will play for the UFL's Las Vegas franchise which is yet to have a name (May we suggest calling the team the Las Vegas Posse as an homage to the city's failed CFL franchise.) The new Las Vegas UFL team will be coached by former NFL boss Jim Fassel.

Losman spent several seasons with the Buffalo Bills. The unrestricted free agent had spoken to several NFL teams who wanted to use him as a backup. Instead of riding the pine, Losman chose to join the upstart UFL, where he will no doubt become the face of the league.

Of course, there are plenty of questions about whether the UFL will last. After all, it was only a few years back when WWE impresario Vince McMahon started the XFL as an alternative to the NFL's hegemony. The league only lasted one year. Perhaps the only great contribution the XFL made to football was launching the career of Rod Smart, aka He Hate Me
