Kendall Langford Loses $50,000 Earring During Miami Dolphins Practice
Miami Dolphins defensive end Kendall Langford forgot to take out his earrings before practice, and paid the price. Langford lost a 2.5 karat diamond earring, which could be worth up to $50,000.
Several teammates scoured both Dolphins practice fields to help Kendall Langford retrieve the earring, but, so far, the missing diamond has eluded them.
"Forgot I had 'em in,'' Langford lamented, holding the earring that was missing its partner.
I asked coach Tony Sparano if he had ever lost an earring.
"Can't afford it,'' he grumbled.
"He's a teammate. That's what you do," defensive end Ryan Baker said. "It's a fat diamond. It's a shame."

Is this a newsworthy story? Who does it help? Does it mean people are going to be crawling all over the field looking for an earring? Has he given $50,000. to help anyone go to school, to help a senior citizen, to pay anyone's medical bills? Just another example of how our athletes are truly overpaid and how stupid we are to support them.
