The Kentucky Derby Marathon & Mini-Marathon took place in Louisville, KY on Saturday, April 25, 2009.Approximately 12,000 runners were involved on a spring day that was great for the spectators and very warm for the competitors.

Competitors interests and abilities ranged from the winner of the Mini, Wesley Korir, to the 2nd Place finisher, Pacharee Chaitongsri of Bangkok, Thailand  to various characters including re-incarnations of Elvis Presley and the Devil. Spectators & musicians had a great time cheering the runners along.
