Kevin Love Twitter Message Announces Kevin McHale Firing As Coach
Minnesota Timberwolves forward accidentally broke the story that his head coach Kevin McHale has been fired.
Love wrote the following on his Twitter page:
Today is a sad day...Kevin McHale will NOT be back as head coach next season.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune is reporting that a league source gave Love that information and he tweeted about it thinking it was common knowledge. Love apparently didn't realize that McHale's firing hadn't been made public.
P.S. I am not a breaking news guy...I had no idea no one knew..I'll tell them I stayed at a holiday inn express last night. Always works....
This is the latest incident involving NBA players and Twitter. Earlier this year, Milwaukee Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva was fined by his team for tweeting from the locker room during halftime of an NBA game.
Now with the Kevin Love Twitter incident, the NBA and other sports leagues may start looking seriously at creating rules and regulation for athletes using Twitter.

Kevin Love hasn't kicked the Twitter habit yet. ESPN reporter Ric Bucher recently told Love via Twitter that he's not on the trading block.
