Kim Jong-Il Comes Out of Hiding To Criticize North Korean Soccer Team For Having Long Hair
After months away from the spotlight due to illness, North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il recently broke his silence. What caused him to finally speak out? Long-haired soccer players playing for Kim Il-sung University.
Kim, who sports a pompadour hairstyle in a vain effort to look taller, didn't care much for his team's mop-topped players.
Kim was watching a special match between Kim Il-sung University -- his own alma mater, which was celebrating its 62nd anniversary -- and Pyongyang University of Railways. According to an insider, after realizing that several of the Kim Il-sung University players were sporting long hair, Kim declared it to "look disgusting," and said "I can't tell if this is men's soccer or women's soccer."
His mood grew steadily worse until the end of the first half, at which point he announced he would not be watching the rest of the match. Whether he was actually watching from the stadium or on television is unknown.
Shortly after the incident, a notice was posted in workplaces across the country banning long hair for men. Staff at Kim Il-sung University were witnessed carrying out particularly stringent checks.
The news comes amid rumors about an "important announcement" surrounding the health of the North Korean leader. The announcement was supposed to have been released on Monday, but no message about the leader ever came.

Jon Azpiri, I like this story. It's good stuff. WoW!! Just last week I reported on a story that had him just about declared dead. Now he resurfaces over all things..... soccer players' hairdo.

He should definitely stop worrying about hair and start worrying about the players skills. The game between South and North this summer, was definitely a boring one. The ball was continuously on the North Korean Team's side. The South Koreans owned the ball the entire game.
