Kobe and LeBron Puppet Commercials For Nike
Now that the Cleveland Cavaliers are down to the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals, it looks like the dream match of Kobe-LeBron in the NBA Finals may not happen. One place their paths will cross is in a series of Kobe-LeBron puppet commercials for Nike.
The series of four spots features cloth versions of Kobe and LeBron trash talking each other. One features a LeBron puppet that looks like something out of Crank Yankers spraying talcum powder all over his house. Another features Kobe bragging about his three championship rings.
The ads are a throwback to the Nike "Lil Penny" Nike commercials that featured a puppet version of then-Orlando Magic guard Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway. Lil Penny was voiced by comedian Chris Rock.
Update: CNBC reports that Nike will be airing the Kobe-LeBron puppet commercials even though LeBron James failed to make it to the Finals.

The commercial is not bad, even though I do not like Nike or the NBA.
