Stand By Your Son: Kultida Woods Masters 2010 Appearance Photo
A mother is there for her son not matter what - at least that was one way to interpret Kultida Woods appearance at the 2010 Masters. A mercurial figure, rarely in the spotlight, Tiger's mom, Kultida Woods, made an appearance during Round Two of the 2010 Masters to watch her son, Tiger Woods chase the leaders on Friday.
Little is know about Kultida Woods and the impact Tiger's sex scandal had on their relationship. Woods indicated that he has disappointed his family and that he strayed from his Buddhist faith instilled in him by his mother.
Tiger Woods father, Earl, was the public face of the family with Kultida perhaps preferring to stay out of the spotlight. Kultida Punsawad or Tida as she was know met Earl Woods in Bangkok. They were married (the second marriage for Earl Woods) in 1969 and had one son, Tiger.
"Tida described her ethnic background as "half-Thai, one-quarter Chinese and one-quarter white." Earl, who passed away in 2006, said he was "half-black, one-one quarter-American-Indian and one-quarter Chinese. Tida was also quoted as describing her son as "the universal child."http://www.independent.co.uk/...ods-476850.html12
