Porsche presents the second generation of the mid-engine Cayman S sports car for the first time at the L.A. Auto Show. The new model features the new flat-six boxer engine, which provide more power and greater fuel efficiency than the predecessor. The vehicle also features the Porsche-PDK, the new double-clutch gearbox. Available video includes driving footage as well as exterior and interior shots of the Cayman S series Porsche.

From and engineering point of view, this is a great car and ecstatically still a beauty.
However I do wish they would all be Hydrogen Engines by now rather then Gasoline.

When all Auto giants are crying for bailout this is very intresting to see the launch , but timing of the launch is just not perfect.

The name is irritating. Cayman was for the 4WD, now for more a Carrera like sportscar. The boxer was always a great success in the US. Porsche recently bought the majority in Volkswagen. At the time the only car manufacturer to make profit.
Hydrogen-Hybrid version, the germans missed too long this technology, the boaring diesel instead. The sound already will never convince. Finally we are lucky no Cayman Island offshore version so far.
