Dunkadelic Sports Marketing unveiled yesterday its RUN-F.M.C. (RUN to the Finals Meter Chase) Rankings http://my.nowpublic.com/sports/dunkadelic-sports-unveils-run-f-m-c-rankings-lakers-are-no-1 yesterday with the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics owning the Top 3 spots on the list. The 3 teams came out last night and proved their superior ranking.

The RUN-F.M.C. Rankings views and ranks the Top 10 teams that have a legitimate shot at making a "RUN" at the NBA title.

The Miami Heat (4-1) and their super-trio Dunkadelic Flight-361 went out and completely dominated a visiting Minnesota Timberwolves (1-3) 129-97. The 32 point win was Miami's 3rd straight game in which they have won by 20 or more points. This is not the same team that lost opening night to the Boston Celtics.

Dwyane Wade has emerged as the teams first option on offense with LeBron James being the primary ball handler dishing out passes to team-mates for good looks at the basket. Wade scored 26 points on 12-17 shooting in less than 25 minutes played.

LeBron added 20 points and 12 assists (Magic Johnson in his prime stats). James has also been a leader on the defensive-end for the Heat. Miami hasn't allowed a team to score 100 points on the young season. Chris Bosh pitched in 13 points and 6 rebounds for the easy win vs. Minnesota.

The Boston Celtics were hosted by the Detroit Pistons (0-4). The Pistons at one time not to long ago were the toast of the Eastern Conference as the Notorious B.I.G. would say, "things done changed." Detroit is still looking for their first win of the season.

The Celtics led by Eastern Conference Player of the Week Rajon Rondo blew out the Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills 109-86. Rondo set a 4-game assists record (67) by dishing out 17 with 9 points and a team-high 4 steals. Rajon is the piston to the Celtics engine. The previous record (65) was held by John Stockton and Magic Johnson.

Kevin Garnett led the C's in scoring with 22 points. Paul Pierce added another 21. Ray Allen chipped in 16 points for the "Big 3." Their combined 59 points on 23-39 shooting (59%) shows that Rondo is getting his team-mates the ball in their comfort zone for high percentage shots.

The Los Angeles Lakers (4-0) got a chance to see what the other two top teams were doing before they stepped on the floor vs. a surging young Memphis Grizzlies (2-2) team led by 2010 World Championship team member Rudy Gay. Rudy had a game-high 30 points for the Grizzlies who were playing without forward Zach Randolph.

The Lakers jumped out to an 11-2 lead early on to start the game and never looked back. Pau Gasol the Lakers forward was named the Western Conference Player of the Week.

Kobe Bryant scored all of his 23 points in the first half as the Lakers held a 73-46 lead at halftime. Bryant played less than 26 minutes for LA.

Pau Gasol was matched against his younger brother Marc Gasol. Pau scored 21 points, grabbed 13 boards, and dished out 5 assists. Lamar Odom who registered his 11,000 NBA point scored 17 points and snatched 8 rebounds for the Lakers.

The much improved Lakers bench the "Triple-B Squad" Matt Barnes (16), Steve Blake (10), and Shannon Brown (13) scored 39 points off the bench with extended minutes in the ball-game. Barnes and Blake were added to the team during this past Summer free-agent frenzy.

The Lakers are playing on a high-level without Andrew Bynum who will add depth on the front-court when he returns.

Kobe Bryant (37,465) is 27 minutes shy of breaking the Lakers all-time minutes played list held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (37,492). Kobe has a chance to break the record tonight when the Lakers play the Sacramento Kings on the road..
