Lance Armstrong's one of a kind bicycle was stolen from the back of the Team Astana truck the night before the first stage of the Tour of California. After placing 10th last night during the tour prologue someone stole the bike off the back of his truck while he was being tested for banned substances in an Anti-Doping clinic.

Armstrong reported the theft immediately on his twitter feed along with a photo.

"There is only one like it in the world therefore hard to pawn it off. Reward being offered," Armstrong wrote before jumping on his race bike for the 171-kilometre ride from Davis to Santa Rosa through a steady rainstorm.

The Tour of California is Armstrongs first competitive race on his home soil since his comeback last month. All riders have backup bikes so he will be racing but if you happen to see a bicycle with yellow and black wheels and the Livestrong Foundation logo on the side Armstrong is offering an award and can be reached on Twitter.

Can't believe someone stole Lance's TT Bike - word from Lance's Twitter site tonight after Stage 1 indicates no progress on recovery.

So, if you see this bike, get in touch with the LiveStrong Foundation. It's hard to miss.

There is a man in Texas with the same bike. Trek did make two of these.

Check it out at denneyrhodes.blogspot.com

His bike was recovered. Someone turned it in to the local police. 2 of his team mates bikes were stolen as well, those are still missing.

I should have some pictures tomorrow of Stage 5.
