Landon Donovan Goal Video: Blows Kiss To Ex-wife Bianca Kajlich
Video: Landon Donovan Scores Dramatic Extra Time Goal, Blows Kiss To Bianca Kajlich, Star Of Rules Of Engagement
Landon Donovan must be enjoying one of the sweetest moments an athlete can experience. Snatching victory from jaws of defeat by scoring the game winning goal between Algeria and the USA.
And to cap it off Landon Donovan blew a kiss to his ex-wife, Bianca Kajlich, the star of CBS sitcom Rules Of Engagement during a post-game ESPN interview, watched by millions.
Donovan has made no secret of his regret at the way his relationship to Kajlich, who stars on the TV show “Rules of Engagement,” broke down last year. His post-goal kiss and reference to Kajlich will have the entertainment tabloids speculating about a fairytale reconciliation.
“Experiences can harden you and help you if you let them,” Donovan wept at the postgame news conference. “It all came together tonight. This is pretty satisfying.
“A lot has happened in my life. I have worked hard and it is nice to know that sometimes hard work gets rewarded. This is the kind of thing I wanted, the chance to help my country, the chance to show I could produce great things, the chance to do what I know I can do. It is amazing.”
Landon Donovan and Bianca Kajlich reportedly split in 2009 after 3 years of marriage.
Donvan a star for the Los Angeles Galaxy is a rising talent and the next step for his career would be a position with European Team or a team in the English Premier League. The LA Galaxy loaned Donovan to Everton in the English Premier League and now his performances in 2010 World Cup will likely ensure a position on the other side of the pond.

Donovan strikes me as a humble hero. He plays the game with passionate intensity and humbling heroism. Like he said: " Experiences can harden and help you if you let them". What an honor to have Donovan take one for the team and to do it so graciously. I hope he is able to reconcile the differences with his ex wife: Bianca. Donovan is an example of the kind of players and people we need more of. Unlike, David Beckham, who was not wholly committed and arrogantly indifferent to his team, Donovan has shown his team and his country what a great leader looks like. Keep at it! USA all the way!
