LeBron James Football?

The mystery is over. After more than a week of hype, LeBron James will star in a new State Farm Insurance commercial that will have him playing football for the Cleveland Browns.

Earlier in the week, State Farm broadcast a mysterious ad featuring the tagline 1/18/09: Brace Yourself. Just what fans were supposed to brace themselves for remained a mystery. There was plenty of conjecture about the nature of the announcement--some thought he was announcing his role in a new movie, others thought he was releasing a hip-hop record, others thought he was talking about playing for the New York Knicks when he become a free agent in 2010.

The truth came out, however, when photos of Lebron in a Cleveland Browns uniform were leaked online.

Today, the State Farm commercial featuring LeBron in a Cleveland Browns uni will debut during today's NFL playoff games. The campaign will continue through to the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.

The idea of LBJ playing football is not a complete fantasy. James was a star football player growing up in Akron, Ohio. He is a huge Dallas Cowboys fans and still plays flag football during the offseason.
