Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has started his offseason by having oral surgery to remove a benign growth in his mouth.
The benign growth was removed from his right jaw during a five-hour procedure at the Cleveland Clinic on Tuesday. During the five-hour operation, Dr. Frank Papay excised tissue from the parotid gland, which produces saliva.
James is hospitalized, but doctors insist that the procedure was not serious and that he should recover fully in the near future.
