According to documents obtained by TMZ Leicester Bryce Stovell, 55, met Lebron's mother Gloria James in a Washington D.C area bar in 1984. They had sex, he was 29, she was 15. Bryce Stovell says she returned a few months later from her Ohio home to inform she was pregnant with a boy named Lebron - though she never identified the father.
Fast forward to 2007 and Leicester Bryce Stovell reconnects with the now famous Gloria James and says he thinks he could be the father. Apparently, a paternity test was then arranged.
A few days after the phone call, Leicester claims LeBron -- through his lawyer -- agreed to take a DNA paternity test.
Leicester claims he was given results that showed he was not LeBron's dad ... but several months later, he began to suspect that the results were tampered with ... and Gloria and LeBron were behind the fraud.
So why would LeBron participate in such a cover-up? Leicester claims it's all, "due to anger at perceived abandonment and conflict arising from his image as a successful fatherless child from the projects."
The story is troubling on so many fronts starting with a the motives of Leicester Bryce Stovell, the timing of the story on the day of LeBron James' signing decision on ESPN. It is however, a story the will likely not go away.
