Leodis McKelvin Lawn Vandalism: Angry Bills Fans Deface Lawn
Buffalo Bill cornerback Leodis McKelvin had the front lawn of his home vandalized after he made a critical fumble during the Bill Monday night loss to the New England Patriots.
The Leodis McKelvin lawn vandalism incident consisted of the game's score — 25-24 — and a drawing of male genitalia in white paint.
Buffalo Bills players expressed concern about the vandalism incident and what it says about player safety.
Kawika Mitchell tweeted about the Leodis McKelvin incident.
"Its def not a game to b playin," Mitchell wrote. "W/ all the safety issues n the NFL its not funny at all. We have Fam at our homes to protect. If u show ur face on my prop Ill make sure I do everythin to keep my Fam safe."
"So dont come around thinkin, oh we'll just leave a message on his lawn or wall, b/c Im goin to take it as a threat. Its my job to protect my home as it is the job of all home owners."
Leodis McKelvin drew the ire of Bills fans after fumbling a kickoff return with less than two minutes left in Monday night's game. The Patriots recovered the ball and scored a touchdown, giving the Pats a narrow 25-24 win.
