New York Jets running back Leon Washington suffered a gruesome broken leg injury during his team's Week 7 game against the Oakland Raiders. The Leon Washington injury is the kind of stomach-churning injury that football players dread and football fans look at with hesitation.

Washington suffered an injury on his first carry on his first carry of the game. A Raiders player appeared to have rolled onto his ankle in a pile-up. Video replay of the Leon Washington injury showed his lower leg twisting in a stomach-churning way. 

Leon Washington was carted off the field after his ugly injury. While it's too soon to tell, it's entirely possible that Washington might miss the rest of the season.
