Lindsey Vonn Crashed in Giant Slalom Event in Vancouver Olympics
Lindsey Vonn crashed on the first run of the women's giant slalom event and did not finish the race. Lindsey Vonn was able to ski down to the bottom of the course after the crash, but her hope for another medal for USA was gone. Vonn was doing well before she crashed, outpacing the Elisabeth Goergl by 0.35 second.
The current first place is Elisabeth Goergl from Austria.
Lindsey Vonn won a gold medal for Women's Downhill and a bronze for Women's Super-G.
Julia Mancuso skied down and got a yellow flag because Lindsey Vonn was still on the course. She had to restart the course as a result.
Julia Mancuso, from the US, did not do as well as expected, finishing at 18th place as of now.
