Lisa Mayfield, stepmother of NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield, was accused of assault and trespassing after she was arrested at Jeremy Mayfield's home on Sunday. (Lisa Mayfield mugshot, which everyone seems to be looking for) Lisa Mayfield was detained by police and then released; a court date was set for September 14th.

Lisa Mayfield was a key witness for NASCAR in their decision to suspend Jeremy Mayfield for substance abuse.

Shana said the couple heard banging on the door and went to the house to investigate. She said by the time she and Jeremy arrived back at the house, Lisa Mayfield was in handcuffs.

At that point, Shana Mayfield claimed that Lisa Mayfield threatened to come back and "kill me."

Jeremy Mayfield has been fighting these allegations. He stated that his stepmother is not trustworthy, and that he believes she killed his father, who committed suicide in 2007. He also accused her of providing a false testimony in court for money he believes she’d received from NASCAR. Sources say that NASCARS secrecy over the test results are politically motivated, Claritin was a sponsor of NASCAR at the time
