A Small Number of Washington Capitals Fans Wrote Horribly Racist Tweets Directed at Washington Capitals Forward Joel Ward After Game 5 of the Caps-New York Rangers series on May 7, 2012

Here we go again. After the Washington Capitals beat the Boston Bruins in the 2012 NHL playoffs, s, some Bruins fans decided to write racist Tweets  about forward Joel Ward, who is African-Canadian. Now it seems some angry Capitals fans wrote racist messages after Ward may have cost them Game 5 of their series against the New York Rangers.

During the game on May 7, 2012, Ward took a stupid penalty in the game's dying minutes, allowing the Rangers to score a game-tying goal on the power play. After the Rangers scored in overtime, some angry fans wrote angry messages at Wards
