The 2012 US Open tennis tournament is just around the corner. one person who won't be in attendance is Lois Goodman. The 70-year-old woman who has worked for years as a line judge at the US Open was charged in connection with the murder of her husband Alan Goodman. A district attorney spokesperson said that Lois Goodman "bludgeoned him to death with a coffee mug."

The coffee mug murder reportedly took place in April. Goodman was in New York to prepare for upcoming US Open when the arrest warrant came down.
Good had spent years working at the US Open where she interacted with many of the game's top players.

This whole thing is ludicrous, absurd a waste of tax payer’s money. Seems to me Ms Goodman is a victim of headline seeking LAPD who obtained an arrest warrant based on false allegations that have since been retracted. I am shocked by the stupidity of people’s ignorant unfounded comments… If there is any king of justice, she will be acquitted.

WHY DON'T YOU WRITERS EVER TAKER THE HIGH ROAD? This poor woman is innocent, from what I read her arrest warrant was based on an overzealous detective(must have been a slow at the SF Valley Police Department). She has no history of violence and is well respected in her community.....The papers have condemned her already which influences the readers. You have no right calling this woman a murder, leave that up to the courts!
