Russia Plane Crash: Which Players Died in Crash?
A plane crash near Yaroslavl in Central Russia has killed up to 43 people. Most of the victims are players for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, a Russian pro hockey team.
Lokomotiv is a top team in the KHL (Kontinental Hockey League). The plane, a Yakovlev Yak-4, was carrying the entire main team, as well as four mmbers of the youth squad.
A complete list of crash victims has not been released, but it is believed that almost all of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl's players died in the September 7, 2011 crash. According to one news report, one player survived the crash, forward Alexander Galimov. There are reports that he suffered burns across 80 percent of his body. Another crew member survived the KHL crash.
