Women's Olympic Field Hockey Prelims: Photos & Results from July 31

The Women's Field Hockey action continues in London, with six prelim matches at Riverbank Arena in Olympic Park. Below you can see the results as they come in, as well as photo highlights and a link to the live London 2012 event page.

Women's Field Hockey Group A Results:

Netherlands 3-2 Japan
Belgium 0-0 China
Great Britain 5-3 South Korea

Women's Field Hockey Group B Results:

New Zealand 4-1 South Africa
Argentina 1-0 USA
Germany - Australia 9:15pm BST (4:15pm ET/1:15pm PT)

In the preliminary phase, each of the 12 teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. The top two teams in each pool advance to the semi-finals, the winners of which will compete for the Gold Medal. The teams that lose the semi-final matches will slug it out for the Bronze.
