Luis Moreno: 'I'm Getting Threats'

Luis Moreno has also earned the enmity of Junior Barranquilla fans, and Moreno said that he has started receiving death threats over the phone. The owl that Luis Moreno kicked was a mascot for Junior that lived on the stadium roof.

Moreno has been pilloried in the Colombian media, especially after his initial apology ("I wanted to see if it would fly") only enraged soccer and owl fans further.

Luis Moreno's mother tried to help, apologizing further on behalf of her son on Colombian television. Moreno still could face up to three months in jail.

"The animal was practically a symbol of the Baranquilla fans and, given that the assault was performed in its own stadium and in the direct view of the spectators, such an act can justifiably be interpreted as a means to provoke the home crowd, in violation of our regulations."

Wow, I wonder if he had any big time contracts to promote Tiempo III  soccer cleats or other brand soccer cleats? If so, they should tear up that contract before a person can blink his eye. He is a total disgrace to the game and as a person!!!!

I see no one has disagreed with me about him being a total disgrace to the game. Hey Nike Legend, why do you like Nike Legend cleats? I actually got onto that web site and found the Adizero F50 soccer cleats to be a pretty cool cleat. I do have to admit that the Nike Vapors are pretty cool also
