Randy Savage: Wrestling Superstar 'The Macho Man' Dead after Car Crash
Randy "The Macho Man" Savage has died at age 58. Randy Savage was killed in a car accident in Tampa, Florida. TMZ reports that, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, Randy Savage suffered a heart attack while driving, and crashed his Jeep into a tree after crossing oncoming traffic. Randy Savage was a star in WWF, WCW, and TNA wrestling.
Randy "The Macho Man" Savage was still alive after the crash, but died after being transported to Largo Medical Center. Teh crash took place at around 9:25am local time on May 20.
Randy Savage's wife, Lynn, to whom he had been married for just over a year, was a passenger in the Jeep, and survived with minor injuries.
Randy Savage was among the most famous professional wrestlers of all time. Born Randall Mario Poffo, Randy Savage's over-the-top persona drew legions of fans to the WWF in the 1980s, and he has remained a pop-culture icon ever since.
Randy Savage also made several film and voiceover appearances, perhaps most notably as Bone Saw McGraw in Spider-Man.
