Mali vs Algeria: Algeria shook off its defeat at the hands of Malawi to defeat Mali 0-1. Rafik Halliche was able to send a free kick from Karim Ziani into the Malian goal in the 42nd minute.

The Desert Foxes had lost pride and points when they went down 3-0 to Malawi in their opening Africa Cup of Nations fixture less than two months after qualifying for the World Cup.

I knew Algeria would win, I am just sorry Cameroon lost to Gabon.
