Man invents five-ringed bike to honour Olympics

A Beijing cycling enthusiast has made a bizarre five-ringed Olympic bicycle. It's made from aluminum and really has to be seen in operation to be fully appreciated.

The coolest thing about it is the unique "deer running from panther" feature that enables the cyclist to bike, well, like a deer running from a panther.

The man who made the bike apparently started working on it 10 years ago, when China was first applying for the Olympics. It's been a long time coming, and he says he someday wants to ride it on all five continents represented by the Olympic rings.

As he says in the video, "I believe the five rings bring the whole world together under the sky."

Check out the video here.

Meet Beijing resident Meng Jie, who's cycling around China on a bicycle in the shape of the five Olympic rings.
