Manchester United crowned World Champions!
Wayne Rooney shot Manchester United to victory in the Club World Cup in Yokohama when he scored 16 minutes from time to dash Liga de Quinto's hopes of winning the biggest club title in the world.
Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the game as Manchester United won the final of the Club World Cup against Liga de Quito after Nemanja Vidic had been sent off.
United were always the dominant force and Rooney ensured his side got the reward they deserved when he curled home the winner 16 minutes from time after Cristiano Ronaldo had supplied the final pass.
It is the first time an English club have won the tournament in its expanded form and the second time United have been crowned the world's best following their victory over Palmeiras in 1999.
Rooney said he was "delighted and proud" after scoring the winning goal in Yokohama.

Good story.
I like the movement in soccer byt watching 90 minutes and seeing only one score is boring.
Soccer needs a bigger net or something so about 10 goals a game could be scored.

Hi - some of the best games i've watched have been very low scoring - even some 0-0 draws can be fascinating matches.
For me - at it's best - football is the 'beautiful game'

I was at the semifinal and it was a fantastic environment. The fans in Japan are wonderful. They were going bonkers at every Cristiano Rolando trick (even those that did not come off!!)
