The long awaited historic fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton will take place in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel for the junior welterweight championship.

This will be the first time Pacquiao is fighting in the junior welterweight division while the long-reigning champion, Hatton has never lost at 140 pounds. If Pacquiao can defeat Hatton, it would give him a record tying six titles in six weight division - flyweight, junior featherweight, featherweight, junior lightweight, lightweight, and junior welterweight. The history does not stop there, but if Pacquiao can defeat Hatton, he will be the first fighter to claim lineal championship in a fourth division. Lineal champion meaning he beat "the man" in four divisions putting him as the "real" champion.

The odds, lines, betting, and picks for the Pacquiao - Hatton Fight has Pacquiao at -250 with many believing Pacquiao's speed will be too much for Hatton to handle.

The Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton fight time is scheduled at 9pm ET on HBO at the MGM Grand on May 2nd 2009.

The record of Manny Pacquiao - 48-3-2, 36 KOs and Ricky Hatton - 45-1, 32 KOs is expecting to generate 40 million dollars of income solely on Pay-per-view while Pacquiao is expecting to take home 12 million and Hatton 8 million dollars.

Many are calling this the East VS. West fight as support from all over the world is pouring in for the two in this historical boxing bout. An estimated 15,000 supporters are coming in from Britain and Pacquiao is a would-be politician in the Philippines and many believes he is a future Filipino president.

WHAT future President- Mr. Huang maybe thinks filipinos are that stupid! I like Manny Pacquia but I do not agree to that statement. He may have the best intentions but he is not the person who can do this kind of job- not even pick good, honest cabinet members or advisers.

Sorry if you don't agree, but many respectable sources believe this is the case. I am by means no expert in the field of politics, especially in the Philippines, but I just found it surprising many thinks that highly of him that is why I added the line. Here are some references to my "statement"

Once Pacquiao has called a halt to his glittering ring career, he is widely expected to eschew the world of entertainment (he has appeared in films and recorded hit singles) and move into politics instead. Many are touting him as a future president, and Alcantara believes he can be "a great unifying force" for his country.

and

Pacquiao, a would-be politician who some see as a possible future Filipino president, was wished good luck by former US President Bill Clinton.

hehehe. how can he be president when he did not win as congressman in his own native home of general santos, philippines?

when he ran for congress, he got boo'ed by the people in one of his public appearances.

we filipinos love him, as a boxer. not as a politician.

paquiao is a punk if they would let women fight with men i would get in the ring and knock his punk faget ass out.

he cheats in the ring, he never fights fair, i can beat him at his game, can't fuck with a snake.

there is a saying i made up once a snake always a snake.

also

a snake cannot a cheat  one who is already a cheating snake.

I don't like the statement that Manny Pacquiao will be future president of the philippines..

Filipinos are not stupid for INFO. Manny is good in the ring no doubt! But what in the world this people talking about this Presidential bet of Manny Pacquiao, this is insane. The statement did not came on Manny himself but with media publicity. But with this statement the slightly naive Manny Pacquiao enjoy every statement and story the media are bringing regarding the presidential bet. Experienced politician (not the intelligent nor the so called HERO) will used him for their benefits not for manny. We all know Manny doesn't have the brain to be a leader not even the personality of a leader. Manny have generated so much fans and believers in boxing but no way he can draw supporters in political bet. Manny will only waste a lot of money and declined his personal credibility that he earned in the ring. Manny stick to what your good at, don't even think again to run, you will not win..
