Marc Coma with a smile on his face...
Dakar 2008 cancelled
at 07:25 on January 5th, 2008
A bit of background: Coma lost the lead (and himself) in the last Dakar rally:
Coma, who was leading the motorcycle standings in the Dakar Rally,
crashed during Friday's 13th stage and is out of the race.
The Spaniard was leading the overall motorcycle standings by a comfortable 52 minutes with just two stages left.
Coma lost his bearings 34km into the 458km stage from to Mali to Senegal but crashed out taking a parallel route.[/q] Coma rides for KTM, whose reputation rests on adventure touring and rally riding; they're not as big in North America, but that's beginning to change.
