Mark Herzlich's Gold Out at Florida Seminoles vs. Boston Eagles

To honor Mark Herzlich's battle against Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, a 'gold out' is being held today at the Florida State Seminoles vs the Boston College Eagles game. The game will be held at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Ma at 3:30pm EDT.

Everyone is being encouraged to wear gold to the game for the 'gold out' to honor Mark and his courageous battle.

Mark Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft cancer tissue, just this past spring when he was thought by many to be an early-round NFL draft pick. His battle now has him 99 percent cancer free and he is optimistic that he will be able to return to full workouts later this fall.

He has three more treatments scheduled and then he hopes to be cancer free.

For today though, he will be at the game and hopes that everyone will be in gold.

A loss by the Seminoles would put them in an 0-2 hole in the ACC Atlantic that may be too great to overcome. Similarly, BC can ill afford to drop to 1-2 in the ACC if they have any aspirations of winning the Atlantic Division for a third straight season.
