FINAL APPEAL – Please visit our MCFC Babies Page to find details of how to donate

The contrasts between English Premier League football and grassroots football around the world could not be any more stark. City paid £32.5 million for Robinho and yet some clubs struggle to scrape together a few quid just to buy kit.

One such club is MCFC Babies in Ghana. The club is a collective of youth teams with under 8s, under 12s, and under 14s teams and is coached by teacher Peter Amoabil. A profile of the club, as well as regular progress reports, can be found on our MCFC Babies page.

Alex Channon, chairman of the Manchester City Centenary Supporters Association (CSA), has been leading an appeal to raise funds for the club. The aim is to raise £2000 in order for MCFC Babies to buy four full football kits for the club’s teams. So far the appeal has reached around half of the target. The appeal closes on 30th September 2008 so we’re promoting the final stage in order to help reach the target.

Details of where to send donations of money and kit are on our MCFC Babies page. The appeal is also accepting items of City kit.

Please give generously and follow the progress of the team. Imagine having a successful youth team club playing in the Ghanaian leagues with Manchester City in their name!

THANK YOU !!!!
