Mexican Soccer League Results: Atlante- Cruz Azul 1-0, Fano MVP
Atlante faced Cruz Azul in one of the important games of the Mexican League.
The game was to have served as a rehearsal for the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football, CONCACAF, Champions League game between Cruz Azul and Pachuca.
Cruz Azul triumphed over Pachuca in their last game and appeared to be playing without any sense of direction while Atlante was able to dominate the field and game with their consistency.
Johan Fano Scores Sole Goal
Atlante even came close to scoring some goals until Johan Fano was able to do it at 39 minutes. Fano had the ball and he kicked it in with his left foot directly to the center of the goal. His decisive kick left the goalie for Cruz Azul in a state of shock.
Cruz Azul continued to play without any desire to win, forgetting that this was a dress rehearsal for the upcoming CONCACAF Champions League Game. Atlante, on the other hand, were able to pass well.
The game lacked the electricity of the game between Cruz Azul and Pachuca or Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The most valued player of the game was Johan Fano.
