Watching the game yesterday we noticed how excellent the Canadian goalkeeper Lars Hirschfield is.The score could have been much higher.

Omar Bravo 59 and  Rafael Marquez 73 scored for Mexico.Ali Gerba 78 scored for Canada.

Heavy rains from storms are affecting sports too.

TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Mexico - Mexico beat Canada 2-1 in heavy rain Wednesday for its third win in as many matches in CONCACAF third-round qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.

The result put Mexico on the brink of qualifying for the next round, while leaving Canada five points behind second-placed Honduras in Group 2 with three games to play and only the top two teams to progress to the next round.

It's clear the Canadian team will regret their poor showing in the first two home matches of the group stage. Taking only 1 out of a possible 6 points has probably put them put of the tournament once again.
