Mexico (the team that made France cry) takes on Uruguay on June 22 at 4pm local time (2pm GMT, 10am EDT, 7am PDT) at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenberg. We will be providing live Twitter coverage via SCAN- just click on the widget below to see a full detail page.

Mexico or Uruguay will be guaranteed an advancement to the knockout round, but a victory in this match sets the stage for the first encounter in the round of 16. While other teams are playing for survival, these two Latin American teams are playing for placement.

If Uruguay wins or if the game ends in a draw, then Mexico will face Argentina in its first knockout match. Uruguay's net is collecting dust, as they have not been scored upon in their first two games.

Should Mexico win, then Uruguay (should they advance) will have to face Diego Maradona's heavily-favored side.

Players to watch
Diego Forlan v Rafael Marquez
Uruguay’s star striker and Mexico’s defensive linchpin are old rivals and have pitted their wits against each other at club level on a number of occasions. Marquez signed for Catalan giants Barcelona in 2003, while Forlan arrived in Spain a year later, making his name first with Villarreal, where he spent three successful years before moving to Atletico Madrid. Both men have been in excellent form in the tournament so far. Forlan has been named Man of the Match in both of Los Charruas’ games, while Mexican captain Marquez has played a pivotal role in front of the back four whilst also weighing in with a goal.
