8/22/10 Aberdeen MD: Mexico captured the 2010 Cal Ripken World Series title by defeating U.S. Champion, Ocala, Fla. 7-1 at the Ripken Youth Baseball Academy in Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon.

Mexico’s Gerardo Haro, was named MVP of the game  after he struck out 11 batters in a 6-inning complete game win, The win gave Mexico their 4thchampionship. Mexico has been in the World Championship game each of the last eight years but last won the crown in 2007.
