The Super Bowl 2012 Halftime Show is over and most people sent their time making jokes about how Madonna looked like Betty White. Some keen-eyed viewers did not notice, however, that rapper MIA appears to flip the bird during the Super Bowl halftime show.

During a performance of Madonna's new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin" M.I.A. rapped in some sort of Gladiator outfit.

During the halftime show, MIA appears to stick her middle finger at cameras. That would mean that the British rapper flipped the bird in front of about a billion people around the world. 

Update: NBC has apologized for M.I.A.'s middle finger, saying"we apologize for the inappropriate gesture that aired during halftime. It was a spontaneous gesture that our delay system caught late."
