Michael Vick Eagles Jersey Prompts Ticket Race
Since Michael Vick signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, fans have been snapping up tickets to the Eagles' season opener against the Atlanta Falcons, Michael Vick's old team. Meanwhile, The Michael Vick Eagles jersey is already on sale on the NFL's shopping site.
Even as ticket sales soar, Eagles season-ticket holders are selling theirs in outrage over Michael Vick's signing.
Football fans are definitely divided on the issue: while Michael Vick has served his prison term and fulfilled his debt to society, people aren't ready to forgive him for the whole dogfighting scandal. On the other hand, Cleveland Browns receiver Donte' Stallworth only got 30 days in jail and a one-year suspension for DUI manslaughter.
My old flatmate is a huge Eagles fan- I can't wait to get his reaction on this.
By 9 a.m., the number of available tickets for the Falcons-Eagles game had dropped to 2,663. By comparison, StubHub showed more than 4,000 tickets available for the New Orleans Saints game the following week.
On the other hand, there's also an updtaed version of the Michael Vick dog chew toy, reflecting the new jersey.
Check out eh Scan below, which is monitoring fans' reactions.

I know lots of people in this world love animals more than human beings. Not to say what this horrible guy did to dogs any thing good to be proud of. where is the stupid guy who just killed innocent man in Florida get? Where are the so called humane society peolpe!

What I don't want people to forget is, with the crime he comitted, he actually enjoys watching animals suffer. It wasn't oops a mistake, clouded judgement by drinking or drugs. Doesn't anybody understand how this is a huge reflection of his own personality. Good luck to the Eagles, if it was my city that signed him, people would come together to and let it be known that is unacceptable.

You people forget that football is a business! The eagles have already grossed over 7 million since signing Vick for 1.6m. What this guy does when he goes home has nothing to do with his football ability. Besides, its only dogs! What makes dogs anymore precious than any other animal killed for sport?

"Besides, its only dogs! What makes dogs anymore precious than any other animal killed for sport?"
What a terrible point to make. There is no sport in dogfighting, just vicious torture and killing that offers moments of amusement for a few sick individuals. Vick is a disgusting example of why capitalism is so evil, money and the potential to make money matter more than morality and humane behavior. He is a convicted criminal and it is dispicable that just because he can play a sport we forget all the evil he brought to the world. No wonder our society is so devoid of empathy when men like Vick are treated like heros because the genetic lottery made them natural athletes.

Yes what Vick did was bad, but he is getting an opportunity to play football. Not teach, police, preach, govern, or anything that is supposed o be of a moral nature. Get over it, he served his time. You act like everything he has done in his life that was positive does not matter for anything. One mistake so throw away his life from that point on. Sounds like you are more like Vick than you would like us o believe. One last thing; while you are wasting time hating Vick with a passion. What other issue or you devoting as much time to, because this is really low on the importance meter.

What about people who kill for profit. Not poachers, but farmers and herders who raise animals STRICTLY to be slaughtered for us to enjoy with a nice Merlot or Zinfandel. What Vick did was COMPLETELY WRONG and CRUEL I admit but in the grand scheme how much different is it from the afore mentioned groups?

Wow! If you place operating a dog fighting ring alongdside being a rancher (morally) it might be time to get a new moral compass.

As I stated "What VICK DID WAS COMPLETELY WRONG AND CRUEL" So my moral compass is fine I'm just wondering where PETA and all the VICK haters are when pigs, chickens, cows, bulls and other animals are being slaughtered when we could all very well satisfy ourselves on other forms of food just as Vick could have found another means of entertaining himself.

I have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and I love all nice dogs. Bottom Line Michael Vick has paid his dues. We all need to serve time for eating all the dead animals. Are you mad because you did not get to eat again..
We all are guilty killing and eating fish, cows, chicken, deer daily just look at yourself in the mirror.
How many of you complainers have Deer heads hanging over fireplace?
He is trying to make a living like every one of us. If he was getting welfare you would still complain. If you can allow Martha Stewart to come back you better believe we will bring Mike Vick.
Mike Vick Jersey is the Top Seller.

STOP HATING ON VICK, i agree with zonetha_regret and Mind Opener. Killing dogs is a very disguesting thing to do, but he served his time. Those dogs would of killed alot of people because they were trained to fight. Look at the spca killing pitbulls because the are a harm to society. SO STOP HATING ON VICK BECAUSE HE IS THE BEST QB AND HES AFRICAN AMERICAN
at 08:57 on August 21st, 2009
You are mistaken. Those dogs would have been fine family pets had Vick and his loser thug buddies not trained them to fight. Pitbulls are only dangerous if they have been so trailed. So don't go offending the intelligence of the NP readers by trying to say that those dogs would have been killers anyway. Vick is a royal douchebag!
