Michael Vick is out of jail and out of a job.  The Atlanta Falcons informed Mr. Vick today that he would no longer be playing for that team.

Vick, once the highest-paid player in the league, is making $10 an hour as a construction worker while he serves the final two months of his sentence on home confinement in Hampton, VA. He was released from federal prison in Kansas on May 20, the AP reports.

"Everybody always knew that Mike wouldn't be playing with the Falcons," said Vick's agent, Joel Segal. "He's really just taking it one day at a time."

Statement from Falcons General Manager Thomas Dimitroff
regarding Michael Vick

June 12, 2009

http://www.atlantafalcons.com/News/Articles/2009/06/11-20/Falcons_release_quarterback_Michael_Vick.aspx

"The Atlanta Falcons today relinquished their contractual rights to quarterback Michael Vick.

"Michael remains suspended by the NFL. However, in the event NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell decides to reinstate Michael, we feel his best opportunity to re-engage his football career would be at another club.

"Our entire organization sincerely hopes that Michael will continue to focus his efforts on making positive changes in his life, and we wish him well in that regard.”

Vick was drafted by the Falcons in 2001 and played six seasons with the team (2001-2006).

ATLANTA —(AP)  Less than five years after the Atlanta Falcons signed Michael Vick to a $130 million contract, the suspended quarterback was released in a 98-word statement.  Vick is eligible to immediately sign with a team even though he has not been reinstated by [NFL] commissioner Roger Goodell.

DOG JUSTICE

Too bad you weren't a dog, my brother
In my heart, I cried
Many more people would care about you
And wonder why you died

You had no spots or floppy ears
You never fetched a ball
Instead, you were a human being
But poor, black, and flawed

You died in jail for mental illness
I know down in my heart
Your death would be investigated
If only you could bark

Dog deaths get swift justice
Their abusers are sent to jail
Poor Mama would have closure now
If you'd had a wagging tail

But you were made in God's image
And some day, I have no doubt
The mentally ill and American dogs
Will have at least equal clout

MARY'S COMMENTARY

One day I hope to ask Michael Vick what it feels like
to be fired over dogs and jailed for their abuse and deaths by the same government that refuses to investigate the death of an American with a disability who was secretly arrested in Shelby County Jail and returned to his family as a corpse.  I love animals and believe they should be protected.  The difference between my viewpoint and the USDOJ is that I believe human beings deserve the same.

The DOG JUSTICE poem was written one night as I watched television news and saw police and federal agents combing Vick's ranch for evidence.  It was after the USDOJ wrote and told me it had received no report of Larry Neal's death from Shelby County jail and had no intention of investigating his secret arrest and death there, despite the fact that the USDOJ was in overview of the jail at the time.  The NFL had Eric Holder, the man who is now U.S. Attorney General, to investigate dog abuse allegations against Vick.

There is something wrong with a country and a justice system that values dogs over human beings - over its citizens.  Many things confuse me.  A woman who rents helicoptors and flies over Alaska killing mother bears and other animals runs for vice president and is a governor; a jail that disposed of a handicapped American goes free of investigation despite his family's protests for six years; and Vick goes to jail and is fired.  Perhaps the difference is that Gov. Palin has a hunting license, and jails apparently have a license to kill black men, but Vick had none.

The news of Larry's secret death is highly censored despite over 50,000 people having read about it in our website at http://wrongfuldeathoflarryneal.com and in the articles I publish online.  Last month,  the USDOJ was sent a FIOA Request asking why the agency apparently allowed Shelby County Jail to enter perjury in federal court to win release from the USA v. Shelby County Jail lawsuit, which was filed several years before Larry's demise.  In 2003 when Larry was killed, the Agreement reached between the jail and the USA was in full effect, requiring that the jail report all inmate deaths and give details to the USDOJ.  See the Neal family's Freedom of Information Act Request to the USDOJ regarding Larry's death at this link:  http://my.nowpublic.com/health/foi-request-usdoj-re-larry-neal-and-cochran-firm-fraud

The USDOJ wrote me back this week and asked which of its offices it should look in for records on Larry, knowing full well that the court hearings were in the Western District of Tennessee USDC.  The Justice Department had no trouble finding the right office to respond to our prior FIOA request when our questions regarded only Shelby County Jail.  But this time, we asked the USDOJ why it conspired to help Shelby County Jail cover up Larry's death.  Suddenly, the USDOJ does not know how to check its own records without our direction.  See some of our previous communication with USDOJ at this link: http://www.wrongfuldeathoflarryneal.com/docs/docs01.html

My family launched two petitions and collected around 800 signatures for an investigation regarding Larry's death.  The first one closed out at 357 signatures several months ago.  Our second petition was deactivated last night by an assigned censorship task force after I published this news.  See both below:

PETITION 1 -- This petition is closed for signatures, but petitioners' signatures and comments can be viewed. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/380598497

PETITION 2 -- This petition should be open for signatures and/or viewing petitioners' signatures and comments.  It was illegally deactivated by parties unknown on June 12 after this news report was published.  .http://www.petitiononline.com/Neal/petition.html

President Obama recently announced the creation of a new cyber coordinator position to guarantee the safety of the U.S. computer systems.  He should also have the coordinator ensure that Americans' First Amendment rights are protected.  Mine are violated often as I publish online news about the conspiracy regarding Larry's death, prisoner abuse and prison profiteering within the U.S. among the country's "leaders."

Many people wondered why Sec. of State Hillary Clinton did not take a tougher stance regarding human rights during her recent trip to China.  Here is the answer:  The U.S.A. is in no position to criticize another country for its human rights abuses and censorship with prisoners being tortured and killed in the War on Terror camps and in U.S. correctional facilities within our borders.  The Red Cross recently reported that dozens of prison camp detainees are missing like Larry was.  My guess is that they are also dead like he is.  There was a recent proposal to allow the War on Terror camp detainees to confess and be executed, although (1) torture is effective for ascertaining false confessions; and (2) no one but camp administration would know if a confession actually preceded  a given detainee's execution.  I suppose the world is to TRUST the USDOJ to be honest regarding future War on Terror camp executions, having such a great trackrecord for humane detainee treatment and open disclosure.
http://www.propublica.org/article/torture-memos-vs-red-cross-report-prisoners-describe-harsher-treatmen-0424#10248

Gonzales, who was attorney general when Larry died, was indicted last November for allegedly accepting kickbacks for withholding federal investigations regarding abuses in county jails.  The Bush administration USDOJ ordered the torture of prisoners in overseas camps and former Vice President Cheney defends the torture today.  Those who were complicit in War on Terror prison torture were promised no retribution for their actions. Shelby County Jail apparently has the same federal protection regarding the demise of a physically and mentally handicapped U.S. citizen it secretly arrested and killed.  The USDOJ is criminal.

Michael Vick was prosecuted and bankrupted by an outlaw system of "justice."  Vick was imprisoned by that hypocritical system along with 2.3 million other inmates, the largest inmate population in world history - 1 in every 99.1 persons.  Higher-ups in the justice system do not need dogfights for sadiistic entertainment when they can enjoy torturing and killing foreign detainees and U.S. inmates, including mentally ill Americans in custody.

Thank you, Rhonda.  It is a shame that I was jealous of poor abused animals the night I wrote that, but I was jealous for Larry's sake of the police attention that their abuse and deaths got, and I still am.  Michael Vick's property was ramsacked, he was tried and found guilty, served his time, released and fired.  All of this was done regarding the pit bulls, and almost six years after his death, my family is still at square one regarding Larry.  Something smells like hypocrisy here.  I am going to ask Vick to write a statement for my book.

I agree with animal protection laws.  I love dogs and we have raised some that were treated like family members.  I believe that Vick's prosecution may help some other animals be safer.  But I firmly believe that people are of greater value than dogs.

The investigative effort that happened for pit bulls should also be done regarding the secret arrest and wrongful death of Larry Neal.

You are very welcome, duo. I do understand and I too agree with animal protection laws. Thanks again for posting.

A friend informed me on receipt of this article that when she tried to access our Petition to the USDOJ asking for Dog Justice for Larry Neal, she was redirected.  Over 400 people signed that petition, and I discovered that PetitionOnline is down.  It carries thousands of petitions by people exercising their free press rights.  Mine are frequently impeded to silence the truth.

The USDOJ should not knowingly accept perjury in federal court as it seems to have done when it took testimony from Shelby County Jail when that "correctional" facility sought release from federal overview after suit for abusing inmates.  Neither should any court knowingly accept perjury, but some do.

The jail never reported Larry Neal's death as it was  to do by its Agreement regarding USA v. Shelby County Jail, but the DOJ and I had communicated about Larry's death extensively BEFORE those federal hearings.  CENSORSHIP will not help anyone's position in this matter.  Neither will pretending not to know where to look for records on Larry Neal and USA v. Shelby County Jail.  The DOJ had no trouble finding related records when I sent FOIA requests previously and only asked about the Jail, although it did take 18 months and a senator's intervention to get them to answer my last request in 2007.  In May, I sent a FIOA request inquirring  about the DOJ's part in Larry's secret death cover-up.  Suddenly, the DOJ needs me to identify where it should look for records of the federal hearings and the USA suit against Shelby County Jail..  TRY THE WESTERN DISTRICT OF TN, LIKE YOU DID BEFORE.

I thought we have an administration propounding "open disclosure" now.  What's up?

When the USDOJ is criminal, where can citizens turn for relief from criminal acts against them?  I cannot leave home without being followed by four vehicles and a USDOT truck! It is awful.  See Cochran Firm Fraud 1 and 2 (videos on YouTube).

Yet Michael Vick is the bad guy.  Lots of folks belong in the cell Vick vacated.
