Why people are in an uproar about this is beyond me. Goldy Gopher is a Univ. of Minn. student trying to earn a college degree. This is a part-time, low-paying job that earns him a little bit of money. There are worse people in the world that deserve criticism more than a lowly college mascot trying to earn a few extra dollars. Leave him alone and find a real-life situtation to protest in today's lackluster world of desparation. Go Goldy! Your job is to entertain the crowd when the actual football game being played isn't; and you did. I think it was pretty comical, because I have a sense of humor.
