As reported by NowPublic member woodpeck, the 2009 MLS draft was held today.

The expansion Seattle Sounders selected Steve Zakuani first overall. Toronto FC had two of the top four picks and chose Sam Cronin and Canadian O'Brian White.

Here are the results of the first two rounds of the 2009 MLS Superdaft:

Toronto had 2 of the first 4 picks?  They must have had a rough season last year.  They are getting a good one in O'Brian White.  He knows how to score.

Actually, only the 4th pick was their own. They acquired the 2nd pick (and the 13th) via trade.

I would just like to say how proud I am of two of my former high school teammates Brad Ring from University of Indiana and Peri Marosevic from Michigan getting drafted in this years MLS Super Draft.
