Well, LSU had a heck of a season despite its disappointing showing in the 2012 BCS Championship. Here's something that might perk up Tigers fans: LSU women's soccer player Mo Isom plans to try out for the Tigers as a place kicker.

The Tigers goalkeeper, and former homecoming queen, says she will attempt to walk on to the roster on Tuesday, March 7, 2012. Isom is a fifth year senior who has used up her eligibility for soccer so they thought she'd give football a whirl. Isom says she's been working on kicking field goals for roughly a year.

If she makes the team, she won't be the first female place kicker in football history. Katie Hnida played for Colorado and New Mexico and, of course, Kathy Ireland played for Texas State University in the movie Necessary Roughness.
