Now the only things to take care of are getting the team ready to play in the middle of winter, making sure the stadium doesn't collapse and finding/applying a suitable pitch. How many days til' the match?
MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced Thursday that the Montreal soccer club will play its quarterfinal game of the CONCACAF Champions League at Olympic Stadium. For the first time in Quebec soccer history, an international game will be played in Montreal during the winter. This historic game against the Mexican club Santos Laguna will be played Wednesday, February 25, at 8 pm.
“We are thrilled with the positive outcome, since Olympic Stadium was the only viable option for this game to be played in Montreal,” said Executive Vice President of the Montreal Impact Richard Legendre.
