Monty: Little Mishap

Monty Panesar likely made the catch of his cricket career as England took on Australia in day of a five day test match against Australia at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Tasmania.

To be blunt Monty Panesar is not known as good fielder in fact he has at times been gaffe prone (see video) making blunders on the field.

But it seems Monty Panesar has been practicing his fielding, or he just go luck, very lucky.

Monty Panesar made his spectacular catch for the English side about an  hour and half into the first morning of the 5 day test series against Australia.

When Ed Cowan pulled Tim Bresnan fiercely, nothing looked more certain than a boundary.

Yet Panesar, at mid-wicket, launched himself to his right and clung on to a catch as good as anything you will see. Nobody, least of all Panesar, could quite believe it.

That was the highlight of a first session when five Australian wickets fell for 66 after Andrew Strauss had won a crucial toss on a green, wet, spicy Bellerive Oval wicket.
