Hall: selection problems are no worry

LUTALO MUHAMMAD justified his controversial pick as he landed Team GB’s second taekwondo medal.

The 21-year-old was selected ahead of world No1 Aaron Cook, who was expected to be a leading contender at the Games.

But despite a quarter-final defeat to Spain’s Nicolas Garcia Hemme in the —80kg category, Muhammad won through the repechage and netted a gutsy bronze against Arman Yeremyan.

It came just 24 hours after Jade Jones won gold in the women’s —57kg, Team GB’s first-ever Olympic medal in the sport.
