NASCAR Racer Erin Crocker Marries Ray Evernham

NASCAR racer Erin Crocker has married the former NASCAR team owner Ray Evernham Wednesday in a small ceremony at the Southpoint Hotel in Las Vegas.

The 28-year-old bride drove the #98 Gillett Evernham Motorsports owned Dodge Charger in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. She started dating 51-year-old Evernham three years ago when Evernham was the sole owner of what was then Evernham Motorsports. He once admitted that their personal relationship has influenced her career advancement:

"The proper thing to do and something her and I would like to do is move her to another race team. "I think the girl has a lot of talent. But if I sit here and say to somebody, 'Look, she's got a lot of talent, you should sponsor her,' my credibility is not good because of the personal relationship,"

Fortunately, the story has a happy ending - the once controversial NASCAR couple has finally tied the knot. Before the marriage, Evernham had sold most of his Sprint Cup organization to Montreal Canadiens owner George Gillett and is currently an ESPN analyst and the proprietor of Ray Evernham Enterprises.
